1. Can of Air for your Exhaust Fan

Those small things in our house are sometimes the most neglected part of it also. One of those things is our bathroom exhaust fan. In reality, this fan plays a big role in keeping our bathroom well ventilated. Most of our exhaust fans are covered in dust and grim because of prolonged use but sometimes is the least attended thing in our home.

If you are looking for a hack to clean those dirty exhaust fans, you might want to need to try this trick. Get your exhaust fan clean with a can of air. You know, those can of air that we, most of the time, use in cleaning keyboards and stuff? It’s much handier and it’s easier than trying to get your vacuum extensions up there!

2. Lemon Bathroom Cleaning Hacks

Lemon is one of the most versatile fruit other there. You can use it for food preparation as well as for cleaning different things in your house. Let’s take a look at some of the ways you can use lemon to clean your bathroom.

If you’re an OC like me, those water stains on your metal fixtures will really get on your nerves. You want those shower handles and basin taps to be sparkly clean but you can’t because of those stubborn water stains. Good thing I’ve learned about this bathroom hack.

You can get rid of water spots on your chrome fixtures with lemon. Yes! The versatile and humble lemon. Just rub it over the chrome, leave it for a while, and those spots will disappear!

Lemon Cleaning Paste and Spray for Bathroom Odors

Lemon is great for getting rid of odors, actually. This acidic fruit is a great sidekick for most of your cleaning adventures. It will keep your bathroom clean, smelling fresh, and sanitized.

You can make this cleaning paste to get rid of that stinky pee smell that never seems to go away from your toilet bowls. If you live with boys, you know what I’m talking about!

Things You’ll Need For Your Cleaning Paste:
  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Lemon

Another lemon hack for your bathroom is a spray so the poo smell will not linger in your bathroom. You can make this “Before You Go” spray,  easy peasy! And what’s more amazing is it works great!

3. Toilet Bowl Brush Cleaning Hacks

I think one of the nastiest things inside your bathroom is the toilet bowl brush. Here are some tips and tricks to make them not that unpleasant to look at.

Ever had that eew moment whenever you look at your toilet brush holder? Even if you want to clean them, it’s hard because you know what those drips are! So here’s a simple tip on how you can dry those brushes without it dripping on the holder.

Let your toilet bowl brush drip dry after each use by closing the seat on the handle. Tada! No more nasty water in the toilet brush holder! And your toilet brush holder will not look eeky.

Disinfect Your Toilet Brush Holder

Speaking of the toilet bowl brush, you should definitely pour some disinfectant into the brush holder to minimize the germ factor. You can use some bleach or some of those bathroom cleaning solutions that you can get in the market. Do this once a week to prevent bacteria buildup on your brushes.  Brilliant!

4. Bleach Pen To Clean Bathroom Grout

Another part of your bathroom that might need necessary cleaning is the grout between the tiles. It’s one of those areas where you can really see when it’s dirty. Is the grout of your bathroom tiles looking gross? Clean it with a bleach pen! It may be time-consuming, but it does the trick.

Give it a good scrub of a used toothbrush, leave it for around 10 minutes, and you’ll get that squeaky clean grout in no time. Just be careful with your skin having contact with the bleach, it might irritate your skin.

5. Bathtub Drain Cleaning Hack

One of the hardest parts of the bathroom to clean is the drain, may it be the bathtub drain, the sink drain, or the drain in the floor. Here is one method you can use to clean your bathtub drain. Just a warning, it can gross you out. But hey, if it can do the job, then that’s what matters, right?

We know that cleaning the bathtub drain is a nasty job, but someone’s gotta do it. When yours gets slow, try this technique with pliers, a screwdriver, baking soda, and vinegar.

6. Bathroom Chrome Fixtures Cleaning Hack

Who would ever think that the simple baby oil mainly used for the skin can also be used for cleaning your bathroom?! When your chrome fixtures look dull, polish them to a shine with baby oil. They’ll look sparkly clean, like new! You can use it on the faucet, or the hubcap, or even the towel rods in your bathroom!

7. Keep Cleaning Supplies In Each Bathroom

Keep cleaning buckets in each bathroom under the sink so you don’t have to carry items back and forth. It’s a small thing, but it saves time and hassle.

Assemble all essential cleaning supplies such as brush, bleach, a bottle spray for cleaning solutions, pieces of clothes, etc. in a basket or box. Be sure that you store it somewhere where your little children or your furry friends will not get access to it.

8. Shower Curtain Cleaning Tip

I love those shower curtains, they’re so cute and give some refreshing sight to the bathroom. It just gets annoying when over time, it gets slimy and full of water stains.

Are you struggling to get your shower curtain liner clean? Here’s one easy trick for you. Put it in the washing machine! I had no idea and had been cleaning ours by hand for years. This will save so much time!

Just some reminders:

  • DO NOT use warm water on your plastic shower curtains or even put them on a dryer!
  • Add some bleach on them to serve as a disinfectant, especially if they are molded or have mildews.
  • It is recommended that you put some towels with your shower curtains to help with scrubbing.

11. Getting Rid Of Pee Smell From Hard To Reach Places

When the pee smell in your bathroom just won’t go away, it’s time to break out the big guns… or at least the screwdriver. Remove the seat and lid, cover the end of the screwdriver with a disinfectant wipe, and clean under the tank and around the screws. Little things make a big difference when it comes to keeping the bathroom fresh.

Clean Your Kids Bath Toys’ With Vinegar

How often do you remember to clean your kids’ bath toys? You know you need to clean your kids’ bath toys regularly but afraid that cleaning solutions might be too toxic to use on them, then fret not cause the all-purpose vinegar is here.

Vinegar To Clean Your Showerhead

Hard water deposits on the jets in your bathtub can make it look so cruddy. This “miracle cleaner” made with vinegar or bleach and dishwashing detergent gets the crud right off – no scrubbing required.
