Fall Cleaning Routine with O-Cedar

Back to school is coming, whether you’re ready for it or not. One of the things we struggle with in my household is bringing our home back into a routine, back into a state of more order and yes, even cleanliness!

Summer nights are full of laughter, activities, and MESS – lots of messy chaotic fun. Floors are not a “focus” for sure. However, getting into that back to school routine and order is super important.

Start the “Pick-it-Up” routine now

Back to school routines don’t have to wait until school starts, you can start now. In fact, you can start tonight if you want. By starting now, you can help your family get into a back to school routine that makes sense. Start the bedtime routine earlier, help kids pick up the floor each night before they go to bed, and ask them to wipe down the tables, counters and sinks.

Stop Floor Clutter – Make Home “Zones.”

Stop the pile of books, shoes and bags in the doorway now, before the year even begins! Create some zones for your family to help keep your floor clutter-free. Think of a place for the jackets, bags and shoes. You will also need to create a homework station or a quiet place for the kids to do their homework that has supplies ready and waiting for them (free from the distraction of everyone and everything else).
