1. Portable High Chair for Kids

Did you know that they make portable high chairs that fold up? These are wonderful for those who have little toddlers that still use a high chair. No more worries about meal time.

If you have a toddler around this works great. Buy some foam floor tiles and put them down in the tent before placing your sleeping bags. These pads will protect their hands and feet as they crawl around.

3. Hand Washing Station In Camping Site

Consider creating your own hand washing station in the campground — one of the essentials! Buy a big water jug that has a spout, and fill it with water. Secure it down to the picnic table or designated area with bungee cords. Then have a little bucket below to catch the running water. Use hand soap and a towel or paper towels by. It is great to clean your hands after a bathroom break and before meals. Plus, a spot for brushing your teeth in the morning and night!

4. Plan Ahead for Your Camping with Kids

The worst thing is forgetting something.  Promise.  Been there.  Done that. One trip we literally forgot the toilet paper!! Never again!  The $7 spent on the Camping planner is well worth it!!  Your sanity is worth it!!

Some note worthy items to bring when camping with kids are:

  • Camp gear like flashlight tag
  • Board games and card games
  • Snacks like bananas, marshmallows, chips, cheese and chocolate
  • Stove to cook burgers and hot dogs

5. Bring Toys When Camping with Kids

Make sure to bring some toys for your kids to play with. These can be toys that are okay if they get a little dirty! You can wash the dirt when you get home! That way they have toys from home to help keep them entertained. An alternative is to bring some crafts and prepare some fun camping activity to keep them occupied!

6. Kids Will Love Glow Sticks during Camping

Consider hitting up the store and buying some glow sticks. The kids will love them and it can help you keep an eye on where they are at night! They even sell glow in the dark bubbles, that kids will go crazy over– among the best camping activities to consider.

8. Family Tent for Camping

Think about a family tent, that way you are all in one area together. I’m sure the older kids would enjoy their own private tents, but the younger ones will still want a snuggle in one blanket.

9. Don’t Forget the First Aid Kit while Camping

Pack band-aids, headache relief, anti-diarrhea, anti-nausea and more. This will come in handy if someone falls and gets hurt or doesn’t feel well.
