As a dairy-free family we struggle to find desserts that our kids BEG for, like this Chocolate Covered Cherries Smoothie. The best desserts are the ones that blend sweetness with creamy and yet meet the allergy issues that one of my kiddo has! We were thrilled to have discovered Silk Cashewmilk, and even more thrilled when they offered to be sponsors of this recipe.
Silk Cashewmilk is dairy-free, gluten-free, peanut-free, egg-free, contains no high-fructose corn syrup, no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives is vegan… and CREAMY! Really, yummy!
Chocolate Cherry Smoothie Recipe
- 2 large handfuls of spinach leaves, washed.
- 1 cup of cherry halves
- 1 Banana (super ripe is best)
- 1 Tablespoon of Coco Powder
- 1 Cup of Silk Cashewmilk – we used the original flavor, but it also comes in vanilla and chocolate. I bet both of those flavors would taste great (YUMM!!)
Place your ingredients into your blender, blend well and serve. Hint: Don’t tell your kids that it contains spinach! Between the creamy flavor of the cashew milk, the sweetness of the banana, the chocolate and cherries your kids will never know it has two whole cups of green goodness!
The irresistable creamy Silk Cashewmilk is now available in both Chocolate and Vanilla. Life just got sweeter. You can get coupons to purchase your own products. Look and see if a store near you carries the product. Thanks to Cashewmilk for sponsoring this post.
