Super Simple Secrets for Easy Meal Plans

These simple tips will make your meal planning a breeze!

Buy in Bulk

Buying in bulk is not only a way to save on your total grocery bill, but it is an easy way to divide out your meals ahead of time. Buy slabs of steak, 10-20 pounds of hamburger, 10-20 pounds of chicken, and any other meat options you prefer in bulk. You can buy in bulk at local meat markets, Costco, and Sam’s. It is also, good to buy bulk vegetables, potatoes, and ingredients. And remember, most items can be frozen for later as well! Buying bulk saves huge money!

Use Freezer Meals

You can easily hash out 10-15 freezer meals in one afternoon. Simply do you’re shopping and packaging on the same day. If you buy in bulk, you already have to separate your food, so separate your bulk products into freezer bag meals.

Recipes like Chicken and Noodles, Beef and Noodles, Chili Recipes, Meatloaf Cupcakes, Meatballs, and ham and beans are great options to add to your meal plan. Make sure to write yourself a list before going to the store, so you don’t buy extra stuff you don’t need. (I’m so guilty of this…this is the biggest way to bust your meal plan budget!)

Use a Calendar

Because you don’t want to pull out the same meals several times a week, it is a good idea to use a dry erase calendar. A dry-erase calendar allows you to switch up your meal plan from month to month. Simply write the month at the top, and add your days. It’s seriously as simple as that.

You can add your 10 freezer meals across the board then fill in the empty spaces with leftovers, pizza, hamburgers, and one to two nights that you order in. This helps to keep you organized, but it is, also, a great way to make a list of items you will need for the month. Nothing like being organized in the new year!

What did I tell you? These three easy secrets will not only save you time and money but the longer you savor your meat and recipes, the better they taste. Save yourself time and energy creating a functional, yet delicious meal plan for you and your family.
