Saving money doesn’t have to be hard…These hilarious money saving tips from children prove that!

How many hours have you just thought and pondered over how you’re going to be able to save money this month? Or the next month? Or even the one after that? Don’t fret. Sometimes, the most obvious and simple answers can come right from the mouths of kids.

And truthfully, that makes sense. They don’t overcomplicate it or make it more stressful than it needs to be. If you’re looking for some funny ways to save money that you probably have never ever thought of, you’re going to chuckle at these ideas for sure!

Hilarious Money Saving Tips From Children

Now, ever child sees money differently…but they all know one thing for certain. They have some great ideas on ways to save money. I took the liberty of asking my kids and some of their friends about simple ways that adults could save money, and here were just a few of the awesome answers I received!

Just stop spending money.

I like it…plain and simple and pretty straight forward, right? Well, besides the part of having to pay bills and stuff…

Hide your money so you can’t find it to spend it.

Genius. Truthfully, that really would work. If I hide all my money, there’s no way that I’ll remember where I put it..and if I can’t remember where I put it then there’s no way that I’ll be able to spend it. I feel my savings adding up already.

Give yourself an allowance.

This is spot on. We all tend to spend a bit freely when we don’t have a reason not to, right? A monthly or even a weekly allowance isn’t a bad idea at all.

Donate to charity what you were going to spend.

I like this a lot. While I would technically be spending money at least it would be going somewhere where it could help and make a difference.

Skip going to work so you aren’t making money to spend.

While I see the logic in that…I don’t think that’s a long term solution for me. But I do appreciate the want for working less!

Saving Money Tips to Consider

Hearing some of those fun ways to consider saving money probably put a smile on your face! But if you’re really looking for ways to save money, there are a few things that you should truly consider:

Save a portion of each paycheck and put it in a separate account.

Hands off, no spending account. That way you’re building a savings without even really realizing it.

Price check and match before you go shopping.

Buying food and other items can be really expensive, but if you take the time to price match and compare, you might be shocked at how much money you can save!

When it comes to saving money, every little bit truly does count. Whether you save $10 per week or $100, you’ll be happy to take a look after 6 months has passed to see that you have a nice savings stash or backup emergency fun.
