Aceguarder Kindle Case for Kids

AceGuarder Kindle Fire Case

Pros: Rainproof. If you are going out and about or tend to be in bad weather a lot this case is great at protecting it from the elements. We also heard of families who take it to the pool (not IN the water) but it’s safe around wet towels and stuff.

Cons:  The case is bulky and covers part of the scroll bar, meaning your Kindle does not have full function. And there are complaints about air bubbles in the screen making it hard to use/see.

Features:  Triple layer protection – totally encases the Kindle. Supposed to be easy on/off, making this a good back-up case for times you are traveling with your device and want extra protection. Comes with a Carabiner, stylist and whistle. Lots of colors ranging from plain black to even rainbow sherbet.

What Moms Say:  “I was a little doubtful at first – but it seems to be holding its own against our 10 year-old. The only reason they got 4 stars was that the screen sticks to the kindle’s and its bubbly. It would drive me nuts – but the kid doesn’t mind at all.”

Devices Supported: Amazon Kindle fire HDX 7

Price Range: $30

Travellor Kindle Fire Case

Pros: Solid case – sturdy protection.

Cons:  Volume buttons have issues, you’ll need to adjust through the screen – and remove the flap over the speakers for better audio.

Features:  Double layers of protection, includes a scratch-resistant screen.

What Moms Say: “This is the perfect case for my “boys boy”. He runs and jumps constantly, so his Kindle gets bumped and dropped, but so far there has been no damage done while it’s been in this case. The screen protector has a little space between it and the actual screen, which makes little air bubbles and causes him press a little harder with his finger, but I think that’s okay. I also took the advice of another reviewer and took the little paper cover off the speaker access holes, so that the sound doesn’t come off so muffled.”

Devices Supported: Amazon Fire HD 7 (4th Generation) – not compatible with other versions.

Price Range: $15-20

Kindle Fire FOR KIDS with a Case

This is the case the Amazon designed especially for the Kindle. It is automatically included with a “kids” purchase and comes with a warranty for the device and the case.

Pros: Great value and protection – roughly $140 for both.

Cons:  Comes in only three colors, lime green, blue and bright pink. No screen protection. The version of the Kindle that comes with this case only has 4 GB of free space – not enough!

Features:  Case is solid foam.

What Moms Say: “The Kindle Fire HD 6 Kids Edition is a great product for a kid. It is fast and responsive, has the right amount of weight, size, and thickness for little kids to grab and hold.” “My 3yr. old has a blast navigating through it. Just wish it had more memory space, it’s a bit annoying having to delete items each time.”

Devices Supported: Case comes with the device – and a 2 year, no questions asked warranty.

Price Range: $140

Fintie Carrying Kindle Fire Case

We have a version of this for our iPad and appreciate it’s “bouce” factor. Ours dropped down the steps and the device still works.

Pros: Durable foam case, easy to carry handle. It’s great for ids to walk around with their device.

Cons:  Does not have a screen protector. The color of the case can be scuffed off after a couple of months of wear.

Features:   Solid foam encasement for your Kindle. It is similar in “foam” to the soles of your shoe. Great shock protection.

What Moms Say:  “This case is perfect for my three year old, I was looking for something that could withstand tantrums and still keep my investment safe.” & “The girls love their Kindle and the case. It’s easy for them to carry around and grip. However, the headphone jack opening is not large enough for anything but earbuds.”
