Before you know it, spring camping season will be here. It’s one of those times of the year when the frost is slowly melting and the birds are starting to chirp out in the sunlight once again. The weather isn’t too hot, and it’s not too cold…taking a note from Goldilocks and The Three Bears, the weather is “just right”!
If you’ve never gone spring camping, you are truly missing out. There’s something to be said about being able to wear a light jacket during the day and still snuggle up with the ones you love at night. It’s a little chilly, and a little hot and a lot of fun.
Make certain that you don’t forget these essential camping items for your spring camping adventures this year!
Spring Camping Items That Every Camper Needs
No camping trip would be complete without these camping items!
1. Light Jacket
Don’t put away that winter gear just yet! The spring weather is known to be a little sneaky so it’s important to keep out some warmer clothes for those spring camping trips!
2. Flashlights
While it’s true that the daylight does stay around longer, you still can’t leave for any camping trip without having your handy dandy flashlights. Trust me on this one…flashlights are essentials that you need to have all year long.
3. Camping Planner
The worst thing is forgetting something. Promise. Been there. Done that. One trip we literally forgot the toilet paper!! Never again! The $7 spent on the Camping planner is well worth it!! Your sanity is worth it!!
4. Chocolate
What? Surprised that this made the list? Don’t be. Chocolate is an essential for spring camping…didn’t you know? There’s nothing better than snacking on a delicious chocolate bar while setting outside around the campfire. And if you pack marshmallows and graham crackers, you’ve got yourself the ingredients for some delicious s’mores!
5. Water Bottles
Carrying enough water to keep you hydrated during your camping adventure is key. Plastic water bottles aren’t ideal for the sake of the environment so if possible, find a reusable water jug or bottle that you can refill over and over again.
6. Water shoes
I don’t know about you, but I love to go exploring when I go camping. And sometimes, that means getting my feet a bit wet to explore everything that nature has to offer. If you don’t want to get your regular tennis shoes dirty and wet, making certain that you have water shoes handy is a great idea.
7. Camera
Isn’t the whole point of camping to look and discover some of the most beautiful sights of nature? Don’t let those picture perfect moments escape you! Instead, make certain to pack up your camera and capture those memories so you can enjoy them over and over again. And if you don’t have a camera, your cell phone camera will work just fine!
8. Bug Spray
Will the bugs make an appearance or not on your camping journey? If it’s even a question, you need to make certain that you pack enough bug spray for yourself and anyone else in your camping party. Don’t be a bugs dinner if you don’t have to be.
When it comes to spring camping, there are so many great items to consider packing for the journey!
What items do you think are a “must” when it comes to spring camping?
Water shoes! I always forget to pack those with my spring camping equipment. Thanks for the reminder. Maybe I do need that planner after all too!
