If you’re a mom, do you have a swiss army knife on hand? In my opinion, every mom needs a swiss army knife!

Swiss Army knives aren’t just for boy scouts! There are plenty of great reasons for moms to keep one of these handy knives around. I mean, you have EVERYTHING else in your purse… Why not add something truly useful to your bag?

Whenever I think of Swiss Army Knives I think of the classic red ones, but you can get them in all kinds of cutesy patterns, they are both fun and functional. I also like to remind my kids that pocket knives aren’t just for boys!

Here are our top reasons why every mom needs a swiss army knife! 

You can use your swiss army knife for whatever you’d like to use it safely for, but here are just a few really great ideas that may work for you! You don’t have to worry about those weird scenarios that might have stopped you in your tracks before!

Get Splinters out of a kiddo’s toe.

Cut “itchy” tags out of clothes.

Core and slice an apple.

It’s an emergency screwdriver!

You can file your nails.

Poke a hole into the top of a juice box.

Sharpen a dull pencil.

Just make sure to cover basic safety with your kids before giving them too much freedom with their knife. The one thing you can’t do with your Swiss Army Knife is give stitches!
