I absolutely LOVE avocados!
Not just to eat, but also as the base of these five face masks that help combat skin issues like dryness or acne. Plus, it’s kinda fun to have an excuse to cover your face in a layer of green.

Five Avocado Face Masks for Glowing Skin
Each of these masks uses half of a medium avocado as it’s base and is left on for about 15 minutes. To make the mask feel extra refreshing, try sticking your avocado in the fridge for an hour or two to chill it down before mashing. Acne Fighting Mask
- 1/2 an Avocado
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1 drop of Tea Tree Oil (optional)
Mash up the avocado and then drizzle in the honey. Apply to your face and let the mask sit for 15-20 minutes. Tea Tree oil is a known anti-septic agent, great for cleaning skin. Use just a drop it goes a long way. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry.
Super Moisturizing Mask
- 1/2 an Avocado
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 2 teaspoons almond oil
Mash your avocado up with the honey and almond oil. Smooth onto your face and let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water. Pat dry.

Pore Minimizing Mask
- 1/2 an Avocado
- 2 tablespoons Plain Yogurt
- 2 tablespoons Honey
- 1/4 cup Cucumber
- 1-2 drops of rosemary oil (optional – it’s an astringent great for cleansing pores)
Mash the avocado and cucumber together until no large chunks remain. Add in your yogurt, rosemary oil and honey and blend well. Apply to your face and let it sit for several minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry. This recipe makes enough for 2 masks so why not invite a friend to join?
Skin Restoration Mask
- 1/2 an Avocado
- 1/2 cup of cooked Oatmeal
Cook up your oatmeal and let it cool. Mash up your avocado and blend the two ingredients together. Smooth this over your face and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.
Fight Wrinkles Mask
- 1/2 an Avocado
- 2 teaspoons fresh orange juice
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
Mash and mix your ingredients together. Smooth over your face and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry. This mask is full of vitamin C making it great at fighting the free radicals that add to wrinkles over time!
