Ingredients for BBQ Beef
- 1 Beef Roast
- 1 Cup of water
- 2 tsp liquid smoke
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbs paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 1 jar of barbecue sauce (any brand you like)
How to Make BBQ Beef
First, you want to add 1 cup of water into your crock pot.
Place your roast on top of the water, and then begin adding in all your seasonings. I pour them on top of the roast and then gently massage it into the meat.
Next, sprinkle the Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke on top of the roast. Set to low for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
About 30 minutes to 1 hour before you go to serve it, drain out all but about 1 cup of liquid. Pull out the roast and shred it. I used two forks, and it pulled apart easily. You can also skip the shredded part if you want to slice it.
Next, after you drain the liquid but maybe a cup, put the roast back into the crock pot, and pour in half the jar of barbecue sauce. Cover and continue cooking for the next hour.
